Debt Advice

Financial Worries? 😟

Like all regulated financial firms Falkirk District Credit Union is required to be a responsible lender and take affordability into account when lending money. This means that we are required to take consideration with every loan application. Unfortunately, sometimes it really wouldn't be in the member’s financial interests to approve that loan for different reasons.

If you are struggling with debt and your loan application hasn’t been approved there are many organisations who can help you with your finances, some of which are detailed below. Also listed are several organisations who can provide advice regarding benefit entitlement and gambling problems for example.

If you have an existing loan and are struggling to keep up the payments please contact us as soon as possible so we can review your payment schedule when we will typically be able to reduce your payments and/or change the frequency to a manageable payment for you.
